The absolute best place to stay! The room was perfect- big, clean and with the comfiest bed. Great bathroom and shower too. Above all of that, the hosts were incredible. So attentive and friendly, gave us so much helpful information and organised all our tours and transport for us!! + the breakfast was delicious and great value. Highly highly recommend Mi Casa Su Casa!

Twin Palms Hostel is the best option if you want to get a taste of real authentic Costa Rican hospitality and way of life. Lili and her granddaughter greeted us, waited for us when necessary, and made delicious fresh breakfast every morning. The hostel is just starting, so there is still some work to be done, and don't expect luxury this is not about that. But don't let this discourage you - Lili will make sure to offer the best rates in town and discounts that even the parks themselves don't offer. Although the location is a bit outside of the town - like 20 minutes walking - the shuttle for any tour booked through Lili is included and there are affordable taxi/uber options. I also strongly recommend walking if you feel like it because we saw many birds and even an armadillo crossing the road, on our way to the closest restaurant. The neighborhood is very local and safe and local people will salute you on the street, it really seems so welcoming and outside the tourist mess that can be found in the center. Highly recommended for the authentic and affordable stay in Monteverde!

We were two families of 4 each . We had this big house where we could fit in with a extra bed on the floor but it worked fine. You are located in the heart of a farm family owned. The owner is Hermida, a lovely lady who is helped by the whole family, her grandson who speaks english came to welcome us. You have to take the breakfast and diner there, it is like being in Sra Hermida's kitchen. You eat fresh products from the farm. It is just a lovely location and they have so much to tell you about the place. We recommend 4x4 to explore Monteverde and to get to the house but the view is amazing from your lodge. Do not hesitate

The Location is very good, not directly in the center of monteverde but can be reached by some walking minutes or a very cheap taxi drive but very quiet. The staff was really friendly and very helpful. They booked for us the taxis, answered every question really fast and were very kind. The breakfast was very good, there are a lot of options one can choose the evening before. The lodge had everything what we needed

Very big and clean room with confortable bed. Big like for shower - hot water and very good pressure (also a hair dryer installed in bathroom). Very good breakfast with a lot of options. We enjoyed our breakfast on the terrace that is exactly in front of the room. Nice green view from that big windows of our room. Also very quite area, we had a great sleep after a long day in Monteverde activities. Staff is very friendly, nice and helpful. We would fully recommend this accomodation - also close to the center & restaurants.

The location is great as it’s a short walk to santa elena town and like a 10min ride to the start of the cloud forest. Also there are plenty of restaurants around and a supermarket. Haydee and her family are the sweetest and helped us with everything and provided many recommendations. Her pancakes are the best i’ve had so far! beautiful garden with lots of plants that Haydee can tell you all about. Nice to sit outside as well to watch the birds. Highly recommend staying here!!

    Great location, great rooms, private and good beds to sleep in. Location was good, close to the small centre. Breakfast was good, fresh fruit and one day pancakes other days scrambled eggs. The personel is the best. Great reception from Jorge and Ro gave good tips and was very nice all dat around. Would very much recommend staying here!

    The hostel is run by a a charming and friendly family including Katrina the dog, Great breakfast and great location - minutes from the centre of Monteverde but also just outside the centre, meaning it was quiet. Great value for money and one of the best places we stayed on our trip. The breakfast pancakes are recommended too.
