Imagine driving up and up a mountain to arrive at your own cottage with outstanding views of the clouds, town and distant mountain range (and volcano). The accommodation is outstanding with a wonderful Tica vibe (we stayed in the Toucan Cottage). The bed and shower are really good, with a small efficiency kitchen for those interested in a longer stay. The breakfast was served in a common area, it too was lovely, tropical and delicious.

A very authentic area just outside of Turrialba. We enjoyed visiting the 2 local bars where the food & drinks were cheap & satisfactory. All staff were very friendly & we really enjoyed our stay.

Lovely owner, friendly and helpful. Peaceful and scenic location. Lots if birds and all facilities we needed for a few days.

Wow what an awesome place! regretted not staying more nights... Very nice location, lots of animals (saw toucans and hummingbirds very close from our window), quiet, spacious, amazing bathroom and best view of the entire trip. Great host, breakfast, pool! Parking space!

Excellent service for serious birdwatchers. The owner clearly went out of his way to ensure we had views of some tough species even though the weather was not great. He encouraged us to go enjoy some of the more regular birds while he whistled us in when the Green-fronted Lancebill showed up at the waterfall! What more could a serious birder ask for!
