This is an excellent hotel exceeding its rating. A fine example of the best of English hospitality, it sets a high benchmark which other inns and hotels should be aiming at and which in many cases do not. Lovely comfortable clean place to stay in lovely village. Staff so welcoming. Handy to Stamford and Heathrow with great directions from staff with things in the area. Also a brilliant two night stay before flights back to NZ. Food was excellent too.

I highly recommend this hotel—it truly stands out. First of all, it’s beautifully designed and incredibly comfortable, from the cozy beds to the absolute delight of sitting by the fireplace.
