We loved our stay at the Jug and Bottle. All of the staff were incredibly nice and polite, from the younger waitresses through to the owners and housekeepers. The location was quiet and breakfast was amazing. We got back one night and the pub was in full swing which was a little noisy in the room but 11pm came and it was silent. Loved it.

Everything about Mere brook house was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, the breakfast was lovely and the house itself was grand and comfortable at the same time. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

George is an excellent host who provides a lovely guest room with a very comfortable bed. Lots of nice extra touches, dressing gowns, slippers, toiletries etc. Great freshly cooked breakfast. Park View is ideally situated, being close to the river, city walls and cathedral and places to eat.

The owner, Martin, and the entire staff is great, very personable, friendly and helpful. Fantastic location, close to everything including free parking within a 2-3 minute walk.. Great breakfast. Loved everything about our stay except for the dim lighting in our room that made reading difficult. Too late, we discovered a reading lamp in the closet. Our bad.
