Oh where do I begin this was the most amazing place to stay. Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. The hotel is stunning and in a stunning location. The room wow wow wow, bed was comfy and the room was huge the bathroom was fitted with all modern fittings and features, this is our favourite place we’ve stayed in the UK. We had dinner in the restaurant OMG it was the best meal we’ve had in England. Breakfast was also so so good. The staff were all amazing and friendly. I would book to stay here if I was in this area again one million per cent.

Gorgeous location. Loads of brilliant walking trails literally on the doorstep. We did a big walk on the first day. The views from Beeston castle are amazing, and the terrain you walk through is nice and varied (forest, fields, hills...). On our second day we basically stayed at the Bickerton Poacher eating and chilling out either in our nice room or in the pub. Food was delicious and always really hot. Breakfast was included and you could choose whatever you want off the breakfast menu (everything from porridge to full English to pancakes, with great veggie options too). Staff were very helpful. We travelled by train to Chester and then took a taxi the rest of the way (16 quid for an uber, 45 on the way back with the local taxi company). I would absolutely reccommend to anyone wanting to go on a walking getaway in Cheshire.

The staff were excellent, so friendly, helpful and attentive. We were so impressed with their interactions with us and positive attitudes. The food was outstanding. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Having a coffee machine was fantastic. Loved our stay, highly recommend and would come back again.

Lovely cosy country pub .Friendly atmosphere frequented by locals .Great selection of beers and excellent locally sourced or produced food eg Hereford beef and ale pie raised on their own farm .Decor charming with many elegant antiques .

Great room with plenty of space. Clare and Brandon were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Forgot my glasses and Brandon drove them to meet me with them! A must stop for cyclists and anyone else that wants a great stay near Nantwich.

George is a great owner and cook. The breakfast was superb and the complimentary snacks were good quality. The location is close to the old buildings and river. We got a parking permit for spot in front of the building.
