Staying at Amiran's Lake was truly a magical experience, one we will cherish for a lifetime. The hospitality extended by the family, especially the lovely elderly couple and their wonderful son Achiko, went far beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like family. Achiko kindly offered to pick us up from the airport, and upon reaching the property, we were greeted with a warm welcome, complete with a bouquet of roses from their beautiful garden. The dinner that evening was unforgettable — a bottle of exquisite red wine and a delicious homemade meal lovingly prepared by his mother. It was not just a dinner; it was an experience of warmth, love, and authentic Georgian flavors. When unexpected snow forced us to cancel our plans to Kazbegi, leaving us without a hotel or a taxi, the family stepped in like guardian angels. Achiko, with his big heart and remarkable kindness, offered to help us plan a new itinerary, ensuring we could still explore Gudauri and Kazbegi. He took complete care of us, dedicating himself entirely to making sure we had a memorable time. During the trip, we had profound conversations about global politics, Georgian history, local culture, and even the significance of the rivers — Achiko's knowledge and insights were astounding. He made every moment enriching, ensuring we felt safe, comfortable, and happy throughout. This family taught us the true meaning of hospitality: it’s not just about providing a service but about taking care of guests with genuine love and responsibility. Their kindness, generosity, and warmth will forever remain in our hearts. We highly recommend Amiran's Lake to anyone seeking not just a stay but an unforgettable journey into Georgian hospitality. The hotel with its friendly owners, perfect location, clean rooms, lots of in-house facilities in the common area and all other good things is absolutely a perfect place to stay ☺️

All other reviews are true, very clean, got a washing machine, TV, private bathroom, good location, great hosts with a lovely „guard dog ;)“ (she is very cute and will enjoy as many pets as you want to give her)

Great place, very hospitable owner

I had a very relaxing and enjoyable couple of days at X Palace. The location is to my liking because it is in a very quiet residential part of town and I had a lovely interrupted view of Tbilisi Cathedral from my room and balcony. There is a bus stop a 5 minute walk from the guest house but I used taxis as they are cheap and reliable on yandex go. The hotel is super clean in all areas which shows the dedication of the owner and staff who are relatives of the owner. There is a lovely yard with tables and a communal kitchen where guests can make coffee, tea etc. I tasted village honey and was given homemade cake by the friendly owner. Guests can wash clothes for only 5 GEL which is a very reasonable rate and is very helpful for travellers. I bought 1 liter of their village wine (it is from the Kakheti region in Eastern Georgia) and I must say it is one of the best young wines I had in my life (it costs only 20 GEL which is 200% - 250% less than what I would pay for similar quality wine in South Italy except the wine at X Palace is truly magnificent and better!
