Kadek and his wife are extraordinary hosts; attentive, hospitable, generous. The bungalow, grounds, and pool are kept very well, particularly the pool which is a glorious shade of blue/green. The location is further out, away from the relative chaos of Ubud. There is an active temple just at the end of the street, which provides one with the feeling of living amongst true Balinese culture.

Kaki Uma Villa is a beautiful, new set of villas right next to a rice field. There was a ticking noise from a wind clapper in the field, which added a peaceful, natural feel to the space. The pool was clean and fun to swim in, even in the sudden pouring rain. The bathroom and bedroom were both very large, and the bed was comfortable. The staff were great and respectful of privacy. They would WhatsApp before coming in if needed, which we appreciated. The koi fish at the front were cute. Cleaning was prompt and discrete, and four water bottles were provided daily, which was a nice touch. Breakfast had three choices—American, continental, and Indonesian. All were tasty and came with a smoothie or fresh fruit, plus coffee or tea. It was delivered at your requested time in the morning. They also have a very convenient and cheap laundry service. There are several good restaurants in the area that can be walked to—we’d suggest bringing a flashlight if you’re out after dark. We would definitely come back!!

While the city centre of Ubud is bustling with tourists and scooters, this guest house is perfectly isolated yet close to everything. The garden next to the rooms is charming and was always a delight to step into. Coming to the host, and saying this as someone who has traveled to more than 30 countries now, I found their service exceptional. It’s probably not in the same sense as you would rate the service in a hotel, but what you would expect from friends or family. One such example of this was that we had mentioned mosquitoes, and every day we would come back after a day of traveling to see a perfectly made-up room with small flowers on the bed, but also that they had sprayed so that the room was free of mosquitoes before we arrived. They helped us with everything we needed, be it an umbrella, some bookings, or tea/coffee anytime. I’ll definitely go back to this place when I visit Ubud. The host and their family were a good way for us to get some real conversation and insight into life for people of Ubud, which you don’t get as honestly in your conversations with shops, restaurants, or tour guides.

The funny thing is we had another place booked and changed to this one last minute! It's the perfect place to be immersed in the nature of Ubud, while still being relatively close to everything! The center was 15 minutes by scooter which was great. The villas are beautiful, quiet, clean and comfortable. We also made friends with the staff 😄 Nearby there's a breakfast place with delicious food - we went there 3 times - but you can also order breakfast at the villa.

The accommodation was excellent—clean, comfortable, and equipped with a well-stocked kitchen and fridge, perfect for preparing meals. Tulus was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, making everything smooth and enjoyable. The rented motorcycle was also in great condition and added a lot of convenience to our trip. The location is about 15-20 minutes from Ubud Centre, but getting around with Grab or your own scooter is super easy. Would definitely stay here again!

After 30 hours of flying, we arrived at Denpasar Airport. It took a little getting used to, but after the necessary checks and an hour-long taxi ride, we reached Ubud and Villa Rabita. It was already 8 PM, but we received a warm welcome at the reception and were shown to our room. It was a beautiful room, with a very pleasant and inviting atmosphere, spacious, air-conditioned, with mosquito repellent, and very clean. We truly felt like we were in a privileged place. We could let them know via WhatsApp what we wanted for breakfast in the morning, which we did, ordering a Bali coffee, fresh fruit, an omelet, and fruit juice. In the morning, we woke up with the sun, mist hanging through the trees, and around 8 AM, the host knocked. We opened the curtains to find a beautiful breakfast served with a smile. Admittedly, the sealing of the lovely windows to the walls isn't perfect, but the service and quality of the stay more than make up for it. We're a few kilometers from the center, so it's a matter of taking a Grab (which can take about 40 minutes with those infamous traffic jams, thanks to tourists like us! :)).     Very nice stay in Ubud. Great location near Bisma street - lots of cheap and good food. Hotel is a bit hidden in the alley, so it's very quiet. Pool is great, area is beautiful. There are 2 beautiful dogs - Mini and Mimi that were very sweet. Wayang (owner) was very nice, and overall we felt like at home at this place. Breakfast was also very good, quite big portion with fresh fruits and juice. We look forward to come back :)

    A great place to stay. Clean, comfortable and cheap, in a great location. Very close to everything, but just outside of the chaos of the centre. Very quiet. Plus friendly staff, our own private kitchen, and a warm shower were all a bonus.

    Very spacious and bright room with big windows and enormous balcony with an amazing view. Perfect location in a quiet place in the middle of rice fields but very close to the city center. The host Putu is super nice and helpful. The room is cleaned every day. We enjoyed 2 weeks staying there with our baby. When arriving take the small path in front of Honeymoon restaurant and then turn left. At the corner you’ll find Papege’s warung with delicious and cheap local food and charming hostess.
