Carmel’s hospitality made my work trip feel more like a vacation. The house is spotlessly clean, Carmel and her husband Billy invited me for a nice evening tea and chat, and breakfast was very generous. The house is located at the end of a cul de sac surrounded by farm fields, but in reasonable walking distance from Birr town center (and Carmel offered me a lift if I didn’t want to walk). The local bus also picks up a few minutes’ walk away.

Keeraun Hill is a beautiful, well kept B&B. I was welcomed by Geraldine, who greeted me with a cup of tea and a chat, making me feel at home right from the start. My room was immaculately clean with a spacious ensuite bathroom. TV had lots of channels including Netflix and there is also tea/coffee and biscuits available outside your room if you wish to make use of them. The breakfast was delicious and guests have ample choice of fruit,cereal or a cooked meal. Enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it.
