First of all, Breda is a wonderful woman who made us feel like at home. She prepared for us a homemade Irish breakfast and we were 12 :)). It was fabulous e.g the views, the rooms and the lake in the back garden. She did that everything was easy.

Cannaway House is 4-star Georgian Country Home which offers free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. Cork Airport can be reached in just a 30-minute drive.

Very nice place, romantic and the kids also loved it. Our hosts put a lot of effort into this beautiful place, and they were very helpful. We loved the terrace and view from our room. The breakfast was overwhelming.

Absolutely everything, but especially Dennis, our wonderful host, and Izzy, his house companion (four-legged and furry:) Add to that eight cats of multi colours and varied characters, the most charming house atmosphere imaginable, a variety of domestic fowl, heavenly roses and petunias nursed to perfection and voila! The perfect home away from home! We were sorry to leave after only one day, but were headed south for a family reunion. Had we known what a delightful host we were to encounter, we would have scheduled more time. Don’t forget to ask Dennis about Irish history, he is most informed and up for a good chat. I daren’t leave out the delicious homemade breakfast and the fact that Dennis packed us fresh scones and treats for our travels! Where else but in Ireland?
