We arrived a bit after checkout time (about 30 minutes to an hour). We had notified ahead of time, and they said that it would be fine. What we found when we arrived is that both reception and the person in charge of the kitchen were waiting for us past hours. Reception checked us in, while being super kind and understanding. We had arrived about 2 minutes after the kitchen was closed, but the person in charge of the kitchen allowed us to settle in a minute, and ushered us to the restaurant area and made sure we could still get food. Super kind and understanding from the people who are handling the day to day, and after a difficult drive, super appreciated.

The Ferry Boat enjoys a location in Portmagee, a 8-minute walk from Skellig Experience Centre and 10 miles from O'Connell Memorial Church.

The view was amazing and Alan was super helpful! He TOTALLY saved the day and let me use power cord for my laptop, brought in a fresh pot of tea and biscuits on arrival too! Breakfast was brilliant the next morning and also made sure to help with luggage on arrival and departure too! ABSSOLUTELY would recommend a stay here!! Cheers!

We had plenty to eat! Jim and Mary were very kind and welcoming. They have a beautiful, large, and clean home. They even let us hang our laundry out back. And the location was beautiful; overlooking a bay! The price was the best we experienced on our entire stay; very affordable. The photos we saw actually weren't as nice as the reality of the place.

Electric blankets, wonderful hospitality, a pick up from the road side when we were stuck in the pouring rain! Local tips, lots of kindness, just wonderful. Options at breakfast - we could choose for ourselves and we requested boiled eggs. Amazing china crockery. Gorgeous home. The best people! X

Historic building near a beach with a lovely view of the water. Friendly and accommodating host. Beautiful room with plenty of amenities (drinking water, towels, linens, soaps). Breakfast was plentiful.
