I found B&B PalmaViola went really beyond any expectations I had. Booking a B&B, you feel lucky to just "get in and get out," but I was able to meet Palma, the owner, as well as her delightful mother! We had a couple of lovely conversations...as there was quite a "story" in my staying there! I was extremely pleased with my stay, and would gladly return, and would recommend the PalmaViola to anyone wishing a pleasant and convenient stay in Caserta (it's only a short walk to the Reggia). I was coming to Caserta for the very first time, on a "personal" mission...not to see the famous "Reggia di Caserta," (although I did go spend an entire day there...), but rather to seek out the possibility of finding and procuring a copy of my parents' original Marriage Certificate from 1945! My father was an officer in the American Armed Forces, and arrived in Caserta in 1945. His unit was housed across the street from my mother's family, and eventually my father and my mother were able to meet and "court." By July of 1945 they were married in the Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel, in the center of the town. Now, all the church records, as a result of the damages and chaos of WWII were moved from the local churches (where they are normally kept) to the general archives of the Diocese of Caserta, right next to the Cathedral. As I said before, I was on "a mission" to see if my parents' records of marrieage still existed, and whether I could secure a copy. In brief, my search was successful, and after a mere 20 minute seach carried out in my presence by the Archivist of the Diocese, I walked away with two photocopies of the original document! Here's the final "kicker": My mother's name was "PALMA," the same name of the owner of the PalmaViola B&B.

Gino met us at the rail station and took us to the apartment. As the other room wasn't booked we had the whole place to ourselves. The apartment is very large and airy (high ceilings), the kitchen well stocked so we could help ourselves to breakfast and Gino had also kindly left us some delicious mozzarella di bufala

A real gem of a find , we changed our journey last minute due to.the rail strike . Best accommodation, lovely apartment, very clean , comfy large bed , clean modern bathroom with a rain shower . Host Gigi was lovely , helped us arrange a private driver to the airport alot cheaper than advertised . Caserta was beautiful, the Palace a must visit .

B&B right in the city center, 5 minutes walk to the Palace of Caseta. Room/ apartment spacios, nicely decorated, firm bed, very quiet, air conditioned, sparkling clean. In the entery of the room ot even had a small shared kitchenette with refrigirator whre you could make a coffee or tea. Very usefull. Excellent breakfast

The room was very clean and comfortable. Giuseppe was helpful and friendly and a great host. The location was perfect, the palace is just up the road and it is a short walk from the train station. The street the building is on is lively with several nice restaurants and cafés but in the room itself it is very quiet. Staying in Caserta worked really well for my trip as it is well connected by train to Naples and the town had a calm, laid-back feel to it.

We were met by the owner and shown to the private covered parking spot. The room was very large. It’s a 15 min walk to the city center.

Great location (very central) and due to excellent sound-proofing very quiet. Very comfortable double bed and decent sized bathroom. People were very helpful and nice. Great cappuccino for breakfast!
