The couple running the guesthouse are warm, friendly and welcoming. The house is a renovated traditional Japanese house, so it is beautiful and cozy. The hosts also offered us vegetables and ramen to cook our own dinner, which was great!

The accommodation is a very big tradition Japanese house. The host is very friendly and interesting. You may request the host to prepare (DIY) BBQ for dinner. It is delicious and interesting, highly recommended. They heat the volcano stone to cook the BBQ.

Our stay was perfect! We decided to enjoy the beauty of Aso a bit longer and booked the house quite late, but everything went great. The host was very kind and communicated with us in English. When we arrived, it felt like visiting parents in a cozy country home — we felt so comfortable. And the breakfast was delicious! The house itself was very nice and spacious. The common areas were pretty and clean. There was a large window overlooking some woods and a stream which was quite nice to sit in front of.

Owner of the guesthouse made us feel very welcomed. We had a large room and plenty room to hang out, both private and common area. It was an authantic Japanese house and we could use also her kitchen and wash machine. She preapared beatiuful and tasty breakfast everyday. She was also very helpful with her recomendations.

Very nice accommodation with excellent, well trained staffs that will go out of their way to help you. Comfortable rooms, beds. The breakfast was excellent, with western style freshly baked pastries, perfect omelette, served with other things. We get to use the private and public onsen at the main hotel just opposite for free, which we love so much. This is a place where it is convenient if you have a car.
