It’s newly renovated, modern interior yet the original skeleton of the property remains, such as the beautiful wooden beams. The lounge, and dining area are social, and it was lovely to meet other guests. I stayed in the dorm for a week, and it’s multi gender but that’s okay. The cubbies are all very comfortable, spacious enough for me as I’m only 5’2. Mattress, pillow and duvet are so warm and cozy. There’s even a mini tv in each space! The amenities are excellent, toiletries are all provided, I was able to do some laundry as well, after a week of snowboarding. The staff are all exceptional, so kind, so caring, respectful and happy demeanour. What a thriving place to be. The staff sometimes cooked me dinners when I came back late, and were happy to hang out with their guests. You won’t regret staying here!

The property was very comfortable and the facilities were great. The owners were also very attentive and helpful. The location was good, only a 15 minute walk to Iwatake Mountain. We really enjoyed our stay!

The cottage was beautiful and in immaculate condition. It was really cosy and had great facilities. The hosts, Takashi and Miki, were lovely, very helpful and made us feel very welcome. We had a wonderful week in Hakuba and would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and atmospheric place! Great location: close to the shuttle bus stop and away from the crowded area near Happo One. The room is warm and spacious with breathtaking view of the mountains. Convenient area for drying clothes and equipment on the first floor. Cozy common areas with a fireplace and books. Tasty breakfasts, especially the traditional Japanese. The hosts are very nice people - they helped us with waxing snowboards, recommended a hotel with an onsen, gave a transfer to the bus stop and helped with luggage. P.S. We came across kamosika nearby! 🥰😍

We had our best honeymoon memories here at Yudanaka Yasuragi! Kobayashi-san and his family took such amazing care of us. The breakfast and dinner kaiseki was some of the best food we had in Japan. The private onsen was especially lovely :) We will be cherishing our memories here for a long time! P.S. Be sure to visit the Snow Monkey Park (and then handmade soba at Rausuan), as well as Hokusai Museum at Obuse (and definitely try the Chestnut Monte Blanc at Entotsu Cafe)!

Very nice and cozy place. We had a great stay and would stay again if we come back. Common area was great to hang out in and very nice and warm. Breakfast was very good, really got you ready for a day in the slopes also for glutenintolerant people. Staff was great, very friendly and helpful and Sai arrange shuttle every day.

    The hotel is very picturesque in a quiet location. The private onsen is a real treat after a day in the snow. Mr Nanjo was the most helpful and friendly host. He drove us to the gondola station and the bus station (as the snow shuttle had stopped for the season.) There are restaurants and a 7/11 within easy walking distance.

    Great location, Alpine Wind is close to Echo Land, bus stops and the supermarket. There are heaps of cafes and restaurants close by, and even central Hakuba is only a 15-20 minute walk away. The private onsen was absolutely amazing! Rooms were clean and tidy, the daily breakfast was great. Ben is extremely knowledgeable about the area and facilities and always able to give tips or advice. We had a great week and will definitely be back.

    Nanjo is a great host and made us feel very welcome. He also picked us up and dropped us back to Hakuba station - greatly appreciated when your carrying a lot of snow gear. Accomodation is very quaint and in a quiet area. Private onsen was fantastic after a hard day skiing.
