We booked this to visit during the weekend iya valley and we spent two amazing days here. It's near the train station and honestly I think the place is much more cool and cozy than it looks in the photos. If you're looking for an affordable place to visit iya valley this is the spot.

The accommodation is ideal for solo travellers as myself but also for couples or friends. You check-in with Jun-san at their izakaya and then you get autonomously to the house, with well-equipped kitchen, free bicycle and washing machine for a super fair price. The beds were very comfortable with termoblanket if needed. The location is great to explore the heart of Shikoku. Would definitely go back!

If you are travelling around Shikoku island, please make sure to stop at this place. We consider it as a hidden gem of our journey due to the accommodation, very helpful and nice father-son duo and things you can do and visit in a vicinity. It is a perfect location for 1-2 day stay. What we really appreciated was traditional house setting. You can sleep either on tatami beds or western beds. We chose tatami as we were looking forward to this experience. We were not disappointed at all. The whole house is very spacious with a beautiful front garden, and the bathroom is fully equipped with all amenities. There is also a common space downstairs. Wifi is very strong and rooms have AC. Family mart is a 5 minute walking distance from accommodation. I would recommend this accommodation for travellers who are looking to experience something traditional. Adding a few photos from our trip in Kan-onji. We had a great time 🤩.

My stay here was excellent! The organization and preparation were top-notch, and the welcome upon arrival was warm. The stuff were very helpful and courteous from the start, truly wonderful. A traditional Japanese house that sat empty for years was bought by the neighbour and he and his son remodelled as a guest house. It still has the wood fire oven and traditional rooms but is brought up to date with A/C in individual rooms and wifi. The house is very secure with a coded front door lock and individual key room locks. I cycled around the neighbourhood, it was so lovely. I didnt bring any dinner so Yano-san, 85, took me to his recommended Udon Shop for the feed of a lifetime (see photos). No fuss, just being nice. The kitchen and bathroom are brought up to date with all the mod-cons. I’d stay again.
