I stayed 4 nights at Jay’s Guest and absolutely loved it! The room and kitchen were super clean, and the whole place felt like home. It’s perfect if you want to cook your own meals or do laundry during your stay. If the location works for you, I’d definitely recommend it.

A true gem! This boutique hotel exceeded all expectations. The interior design is absolutely stunning. Every detail, from the furniture to the lighting, reflects a perfect balance between modern comfort and timeless local charm. The staff were exceptional – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. A beautiful property with a very relaxed, tranquil feel away from the hustle and bustle of the main Colombo Streets but still a great location to get to places easily . Room was spacious, very clean and nicely decorated. Lovely open air dining room where we had the best breakfasts. The staff were very professional and super friendly and helpful. Amazing service from everyone.

Urban bliss studio is a perfect little hotel in Colombo. Suzette and Ravij are a lovely couple of entrepreneurs who know how to welcome travelers. You will feel at home. The rooms (only 2 available which makes the stay even more special as it cannot be crowded) are just lovely with space and AC. We had a beautiful balcony and a little kitchenette if we needed to keep things fresh or boil water. Breakfast was like the rest: very very good and adapted to your preferences / needs. Garden is beautiful as well. Suzette took the time to discuss with us and gave us some good advices for our trip. She also gave us the contact of a great driver / guide who we will be seeing again during our trip as he was so knowledgeable and incredibly nice. I definitely recommend this place ! We will go visit their other little hotel they have in Galle.

Charming boutique hotel, nicely designed and decorated, with a lush garden. Our room was of adequate size (we would prefer it a little larger), very clean, with comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. Nice (smallish) bathroom. We were warmly greeted and welcomed by the owner who offered excellent cinnamon tea and had a chat with us regarding Colombo and Sri Lanka. He, also, recommended places to visit in town and all his suggestions were excellent and to the point. He, finally, arranged our after-midnight transportation to the airport. If we visit Colombo again, we will definitely stay here again and we highly recommend it for a short or longer stay.

Room condition was good, food was best. Our flight time was 18:20, check out time was 10 a.m. The staff member, Sita got accepted our ask that we could take a shower before leave. She also served curd with breakfast.

We had a really enjoyable stay. The location was excellent getting around Colombo was super convenient. What really stood out was the warm hospitality of the staff. Everyone was welcoming, helpful, and attentive without being intrusive. They were always ready to assist with directions, transport, or anything else I needed, which made the stay feel even more relaxed and stress-free. After a busy day in the city, returning to the calm and quiet comfort of Camellia was a real treat. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained — perfect for winding down. Breakfast was another highlight. It was simple yet satisfying, with fresh ingredients and a homely touch. We appreciated the effort the team put into making sure we felt well taken care of. I’d happily return and would recommend Camellia Residence to anyone looking for a comfy, luxurious and well-located place to stay in Colombo.

    Great host. Really helpful in nature, peaceful location, a bit farther away from main attraction area of Colombo, a bike/scooter/tuk tuk/bus needed for commuting between Galle face, Pettah, Fort area. Great budget option. Really homestay like feeling, finally stayed there for more than one instances, the owner became a friend, still in connection with her. Without a word she agreed to keep our luggage when we were out of Colombo for further journey. Would like to repeat the same option of staying here.

    Shiranthi is a lovely host. She gave us a lot of useful information and made us tea every morning. The location is a little outside of Colombo but reachable very easily and cheap by local bus. It felt like home for 3 nights. We would definitely recommend

    My room at Shiranthi Guest House was very peaceful and was spacious and comfortable. Shops and transport were an easy walk away through a pretty neighbourhood, and the owner was particularly kind. This is a quiet, inexpensive, and convenient place to stay in Colombo.

    The host is just extremely nice! Thanks to her, it feels more like a home rather than guesthouse. Place is close to everything you might need, within 10-15 minutes ride to majority of places. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe.
