We've accommodated in hotel sanctuary last week. It was very clean and attractive.The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and well organized.The pool area was fantastic, to have fun.The hotel keeper was very friendly and helpful.The hotel owner was the same. The meals were really delicious.We could enjoy the scenic beauty of rakwana mountains right from the hotel.That accomodation package was very reasonable for the payed price.I recommend this place for people, who are expecting a perfect stay near Rakwana.

Really liked our stay here. Spacious apartment on a hill. We had complimentary tea over sunset and a generous breakfast spread of assorted fruits, toast and omelette. I slept really well! We didn't go with their Sinharaja tour, but learnt that the host's family were one of the pioneer guides for the rainforest. The host still kept the first book of past patron's comments since 1995! Would have loved to stay for a few more nights for the serenity and warm hospitality. Maybe next time! 😉

Our stay at Sinharaja Forest Lodge was truly relaxing. The lodge is surrounded by lush tea plantations and beautiful greenery, making it a perfect escape into nature. Sitting on a beautiful hill do you see what I see? Or may be I'm dreaming? Because the picture not seems to be reality. Dozens of peacocks are walking. The night fog descends, revealing an incredible view of the mountains surrounded by jungle forest. And so on, so on. The house under the high trees is surrounded by the garden full of exotic plants and flowers. There is a great desire to sit all day at the cottage on a comforrable chair without moving, watching the amazing nature around. The host and his parents are very nice people. He is young and handsome,though his English is very good. He was our guide to the forest, where we spend the whole day watching various animals, insects and birds, listening to stories about them, as well as other details of the life of the relict forest Sinharaja. We have been swimming in several waterfalls. We got soaked in the rain. But we returned home happy and tired, where a delicious Sri Lankan dinner was waiting for us.

I would venture to say that this accommodation is a hidden treasure in the jungle. A great host with vast knowledge of the natural world! If I had to recommend what to visit in Sri Lanka, it would be this place! I look forward to my next visit.

What an experience. The room was beautiful and perfect for the three of us. The bathroom felt very luxury and the shower was very good. The family prepared a lovely dinner of curries for us which was one of the best curries we have had. The breakfast was also lovely and we all left very full of food. The rainforest tour was amazing and swimming under a waterfall was a real highlight. This trip is a must
