We stayed here for a couple of nights because we wanted to climb the Adam's Peak and well, the Water Side Residence was the perfect choice for us - it's located near the entrance of the hiking trail for the Adam's Peak (like 5-10 minutes walk or less). The hosts were lovely, ready to share tips/suggestions for the hike, as well as ready to answer any questions we might have (not only related to the Adam's Peak). There's a cafeteria upstairs, at the entrance, and you must try the food there - everything was so delicious, from the noodles to the omelets and all the fresh fruit juices! Our room was a wooden cabin a few floors downstairs from the cafeteria. It was so peaceful there! Beds were comfortable, there was hot water for the shower, plenty of power plugs, and there were mosquito nets at the entrance (so we could keep the windows open during night to cool the air in the cabin). Would definitely recommend this place if you plan to climb the Adam's Peak :)

Perfect place. Clean, spacious room, with a magnificent view and the sound of water. The room had warm blankets and warm water. A very polite family owns this place. They fed me delicious food, suggested a route and offered trekking equipment. Definitely recommend

The staff were very welcoming and especially helpful when it came to explaining the process of climbing Adam's peak, and organising meals for dinner. The rooms were just as pictured with amazing views. The dining room at Wathsala Inn has an amazing view and is open air. Great value for money!

Really really impressed by Ruwan our host/cook/cleaner/pool attendant and all round good guy! The owner's were often around too and couldn't do enough to make our stay as perfect as possible. The swimming pool is a must in tropical humid sri lanka. What beautiful scenery, what a location. Long way from anywhere, so prepare to relax, soak in the abundant nature and read your book ... maybe bring some cards? The daily firefly evening display was spectacular, making the trees glitter like christmas trees ... laze in the pool and look up! In the days it's the eagles with their aerial display, lizards and of course the 'hoppity birds', woodpecker & kingfisher's, coming to assess the suitability of the guests. Swimming in the local river was nice, bit of a shame about the spontaneous viewing gallery though.

We stayed at The Peak Residence in August. I really recommend the accommodation. The rooms are quite nice and clean, the owner are very friendly and cook for you really nice Sri Lankan food. Also the location is perfect, because you can walk in a few minutes to the start point of the Adam's Peak.

Ideally set in the centre of Adams Peak, Singh Brothers features a tour desk and free private parking. The property has river and city views, and is 100 metres from Adam's Peak.
