Max and his wife are just great hosts, very helpful in every way. The location is great, you are really right on the beach, which is absolutely not busy, for days you don't see any tourist ever. Along with that comes that there is no restaurant nearby, but Max might lend you his bycicle, and in 5 minutes you are there. You can also ask Max, they cook for you.

Beautiful oasis by the river. Bungalows are comfortable, cool, and tastefully decorated. Be sure to wander on the path at dusk and at dawn to see all the birds. I would give 11/10 if I could! Thank you for the wonderful stay.

The first night stying of our Sri Lanka trip. The couple of the hotel owner are amazing, so friendly, turned on the air-conditioner of our room before our arrival. And prepared the dinner for us even we arrive a bit late night. The room is very clean and with good view. The shower hot water was functionally well.

We loved everything about this hotel and fantastic family running it. I would say that the stay exceeded all our expectations. Hotel is beautiful, all the furniture, room size, lobby, cleanliness all to very high standard. Food i cannot even describe because it was soooo good. Close to the beach and shops. I can't wait to write this review, because the efforts of the owners of this hotel deserve such praise. The experience was beyond expectation, the accommodation was very beautiful, the room was very clean and tidy, the owner was very warm, he would take us to see the fireflies at night, it made me feel like staying at a friend's house. It's comforting to have a healthy and delicious breakfast in the green. They offer free bikes to get around town and also offer inexpensive airport transfers. If you are coming to Negombo and you are tired of the sameness of luxury hotels, I highly recommend you to come here and experience it

My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Fun Whales hotel in Negombo, and we had a wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, the owner and his family warmly welcomed us and made us feel at home. Our room was comfortable and clean with all the necessary amenities, and the hotel's location was ideal for exploring Negombo's attractions, including the beach. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious sri lankan breakfast.
