I was bikepacking and booked the afternoon of the stay. The manager arranged an excellent evening meal with a local person when I asked about restaurants (there are none) The room was clean and with working quiet air conditioning

Character hotel in a beautiful setting. Room was clean and comfortable. Claudia and the owner were very friendly and helpful. There is a village 1km away but for us the hotel had everything we needed. We cooked our own evening meal in the well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was provided and very tasty.

What a lovely “4-star” facility - everything is perfect amd the delightful hostess speaks perfect English. The goat cheese from this cottage cheese factory is exceptional - all organic without additives. We will place order for mature cheese to be shipped by post. We will come again!

My review is for people who book cheap and convenient and do not then complain when it is not 5 star. What a charming hotel. Absolutely gorgeous. Room was very very nice. Good bathroom. Comfortable bed. Wonderful view from the window. Great breakfast. The hosts are very friendly and charming. Trancoso, as a town, exceeded my expectations.

Amazing place! Beautiful, clean, comfortable. The owners are charming! We had a very nice room with a bathroom, there was a shared kitchen, garden and swimming pool for the kid. There was an option to have a barbecue in the evening. Breakfast was delicious, fresh and tasty. Very quiet neighborhood.

The hotel is situated in an old grand home and certainly a very comfortable and historic place to stay. Our room had a balcony which enabled the extension of our room. Our host Richard was very helpful with tourist plans and all staff friendly and really keen to assist our stay. Great breakfasts and a wonderful garden with a well kept pool which was available for us to use. The location was great being inside the castle walls. Would recommend to others. The lift was a great addition for a hotel this size!!
