This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The owners met us at the property for our arrival around 21:00, took every care to make us feel comfortable, and provided great information on local sights. The rooms are very nice, even nicer than they appear in the pictures. One of the nicest showers I have ever had in a stay.

Everything was amazing. All the staff, from reception to the waiters and waitresses, were very kind and always happy to help. The spa/hamman is great to relax. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. As for the location, Dar Dorra is in the middle of the medina, very conveniently close to the souk and the Kasba. Easy also to pick a taxi to go anywhere. I will definitely come back here.

This place exceeded by far our expectations. From the moment we stepped in, we felt like we went back in time. This boutique hotel is decorated with very very good taste, with antiques and lovely traditional items. The place is quiet, even though it is located in the medina, very close to the big mosque. The room, although not very large, was decorated in the same manner, creating a sense of peacefulness. We were welcomed by Ahmed, who was very friendly and helpful. When we return to Tunis, we will definitely stay in El Patio!

The charm and ease of staying in this beautifully renovated traditional house. The room we stayed at was comfortable and spacious. The owners are also very nice people to connect with socially to have a chat about on the cultural and historical aspects of Tunis. We really enjoyed our stay.

We loved our stay at Dar Kenza Tunis. It’s a traditional, cozy, and authentic hotel right in the heart of the Tunis medina. The location is perfect: turning right takes you straight to the main bustling market streets – including the gold market – and the Zitouna Mosque. If you turn left, you’ll find yourself in the peaceful side of the medina, with quiet alleyways mostly used by locals. The whole area felt very safe, even after dark, and we spent many evenings wandering through the lantern-lit streets. We especially want to highlight the wonderful host, Dhouha. She is truly an amazing person – incredibly kind, warm, and helpful. She made our stay even better with her thoughtful recommendations for restaurants, shops, and places to visit, helping us experience Tunis like locals. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic medina experience!
