For several reasons, we had to postpone our stay at Mango Beach House, in Jambiani, three times in the past. Finally, 2025 was the year for something long awaited. The expectations were high, but the reality surpassed them. A dream spot, right on the beach. The facilities, the outdoor and sea temperature , the sound of the crows, the breeze and the waves, the laughter of the children at night playing football on the beach, the food (delicious breakfast and wonderful meals), the friendliness and availability of the hosts made us wish that it could be our 'forever home'. And the truth is that during our stay we felt that it was also our home, thanks to the warm welcome from Beth, Dhula, our extraordinary chef Hemé (don't know how to spell it) and all the rest of the staff. There was also the opportunity to do some additional activities suggested and organized by Beth, namely a boat trip in typical Dhow, through the beautiful waters of Jambiani, as well as an unforgettable Mangrove tour, which ended at sunset, in a vibrant atmosphere in a bar in Michamvi. This is a SUPER place to Stay! I was there alone because my friends was in other hotel, and all the time I felf SAFE! The house is directly on the beach, which maybe you don’t see on photos, and it is safe to be there also at night. All staf are so kind and polite, and manager/ receptionist will always find the time to speak with you, so If you travel alone, you will not feel alone there. Everything is totally new and very cleen. Breakfast is really good, If you do not expect too much, beacuse this is not 5 star hotel, and it was delicious. I enjoyed in fresh juice, coffee, eggs and pancakes (they have Nutella!). I hope I will come back here next year! Hakuna matata.

I had a truly wonderful stay in Jambiani, far away from the crowded tourist areas. The house is beautifully decorated, very clean, and full of thoughtful details. The owners are extremely kind and caring, which made me feel at home right away. Breakfast was freshly prepared every morning with tropical fruits from Zanzibar – simply delicious! The location is perfect: only one minute to an untouched, stunning beach. A real hidden gem – I would love to return! 🌴✨

What can I say, breakfast was extraordinary, plentiful, varied - you don't realise how fresh fruit really tastes until you've tried it here. The host, Haji, is very caring, helpful and dedicated to providing you with the best possible stay. If you want to go kite surfing, he's a professional instructor, if you want to go sailing on a local dhow, he can set you up with that too. It's Africa, the power will cut out from time to time, there's no generator on site, but go sit in one of larger beach cafés, they'll sometime have a generator, if you absolutely needs to have wi-fi or charge your devices at that very moment. Wow beach house perfectly situated between the beach and the local village. It is one house down from the beach and one house up from the village, so you get the best of both. The village has local restaurants and small shops where you can buy soda, snacks, fresh fruit etc., all very friendly. The beach front has lots of beach bars where you can sit, enjoy the ocean breeze, a cool drink or a meal.
