This lodge is absolutely spectacular and very unique. Xavier, the owner, is phenomenal. Peter and I had great discussions with him. Lots of fun and laughter. He is an extremely interesting person. Superb food. Great surroundings. The "golden wildebeests" and the "kissing giraffe" on the property are very special. Noteworthy are the 1928 Bugatti and the Triumph motorcycle in the living room. There are vintage cars all over the property. I have never seen a more interesting place like the Hippomoon Lodge. As a world traveller I must admit that this is one of the most spectacular, interesting and fun place I have ever stayed at. Highly recommendable!!!!!! Thanks Xavier!

Our stay at Gem in The Bush has exceded way more any expectation we had. Amazing Lodge. The place is new and spot clean, comfortable, great breakfast included in the price in a peaceful environment. It is exactly what you see in the pictures. The staff is so kind and helpful. If we could, we would rate you with a 12/10. We will definitely come back here when in the area! Stayed here many times in the last few years. A perfect little retreat for a couple of days close to Kruger, the Greater Kruger reserves and Hoedspruit. The rooms are very spacious and well maintained. Most of them have wifi, only room 1 has slightly less connection. The restaurant is also great and the accommodation comes with breakfast included. Staff is super friendly and helpful and would not hesitate to recommend the place!

Loerie Guesthouse is located in Hoedspruit and offers a garden with outdoor pool and barbecue facilities. The guest house is within 10 minutes' drive from Drakensig Golf Club.
