Bluemari is a very special place. The Gueshouse has been designed and furnished with excellent taste to a very HIGH standard. There are lovely areas for guest use including a solar heated pool with longer & seating areas, lounge etc The breakfast was absolutely fantastic; a great selection of fresh fruits, homemade muesli, cheese & cold meats, and freshly made bread. And a selection of delicious hot dishes. The Host was very charming and accommodating. And gave us excellent advice on good local restaurants, attraction etc. It scores 10 out of 10 We will be back!!

Honestly amazing! Friendliest staff we‘ve ever met during all our travels! Marcelino and Levinia were so kind, caring and supportive all the time. The room was spacious, nice and clean and the view on the city, ocean and mountains was simply stunning.

This was a perfect place to stay. Really nice apartment, well-equipped, there was everything one could need. Perfect location in Hout bay, close to restaurants (like Wharfside Grill and Restaurant - food is really tasty and the view is nice), when you take a shortcut in between the houses, it´s like 5 mins at max. The code for the lock is provided by the owner, and it´s also written in the manual to the apartment. Jeannine is really kind, and the communication with her was without any problems at all. Also close to the Birds Sanctuary in Hout Bay and "seal island" - go there by a boat, it´s cheap (5-6 euro), you´re gonna sail like 50 mins, and there are seals, which is nice. Close to the apartment is also Nelson Mandela gallery - it´s a really interesting place - his paintings are available only on 3 places in the World - Cape Town, London and New York - so it´s surely worth to see it. I surely recommend this apartment.

Hout & About was our first stop in Cape Town and we absolutely loved it! Fanny welcomed us when checking in and showed us the common room which was amazing. There was coffee and tea to grab from and also fresh fruits that you can help yourself with. The view from the terrace and the enterior of the main room are definitely the highlight. As add on - the breakfast was outstanding thanks to Thomas who prepared us a daily special which I’ll need to cook at home from now on as well :). The room offers everything that you need - comfortable bed, black out curtains and clean bathroom. Tea and coffee is also available at the room. All in all we really loved it there and would definitely come back and recommend it to everyone!

From the moment you enter the yard and get greeted by Mr Banda i knew i was going to have a good stay. The breakfast was nice and simple and i like how the gentleman (Banda, Yamikani and Kingston) kept asking us if we wanted breakfast for the following morning despite how we kept telling them we would think about it. They checked up on us to ensure we were comfortable with everything that we needed. Safety is key and you are on top of that, extinguishers and fire blankets were available which you don’t find at some places. I also loved the fact that i could do my BBQ by the gazebo with the Braii stand and Grill available at site. It felt like my own home.

    Great location to explore various highlights of Cape Town and surroundings. It is also an excellent place to just relax and enjoy the garden and views. Outstanding breakfast. Hout Bay has a fair amount of nice restaurants. We stayed for 5 nights and would come back again. Luis was a great host.

    Beautiful cape style cottages, tastefully decorated in great location in Hout Bay with Mountain Views. Excellent breakfast including homemade bread, eggs meats and delicious homemade jams. Hosts, Valerie and Samuel are simply wonderful and eager to help with suggestions and advice.
