We felt accommodated from the moment we walked in the door until we left. The dinners left us entirely full and we still had food on our plates and every question - including, what fruit is on these trees, was left answered. If you would like to stay somewhere where you feel at home, comfortable and safe - book here. My favourite moment was when the host was knocking on the door opposite ours, telling them that they’d made him lunch (which hadn’t been asked for) to prepare them for the early wake up and trekking day ahead. The hosts are incredibly generous, welcoming and considerate. If you wish to experience feeling like you’ve stumbled on your Albanian grandparents home - they will feed you, house you in a clean and lovely home and welcome you.

Just up the road is ‘Thethi Paradise’ we went for lunch which was great and accepted visa/Mastercard which was helpful as everywhere in both towns was cash only.

The room is super clean, modern, with everything you need- refrigerator, air-conditioner, great bed and a balcony. The view from the room is amazing!! The mountains and the river. The family that runs the place is so sweet and helpful! The breakfast they serve is absolutely amazing, so big and so tasty. Everything is local and very fresh. The location of the house is also very good- super close to the river, to the trail to the waterfall and to many other walking trails. Close enough to everything but away from all the cars and the noise in the middle of Theth. We loved it. Thank you so much. 12/10!!!

There are quite a few stairs if you’re coming from the lower entrance, so keep that in mind. The owner is incredibly kind and a real pleasure to talk to. Do not miss the traditional carpet weaving on the lower floor. It is a beautiful and unique experience.

Perfect destination to finish at after the hike from Valbone to Theth. The ladies working there were absolutely gorgeous, so kind and generous. Meals were massive and definitely the best meat I ate in Albania. They accommodated my every need (gave me ice for injuries etc) and had very clear English. Thank you for the lovely stay.

At the guest house, all units come with a private bathroom. This was probably my best experience in Albania in terms of accommodation. A quiet place in a small village, where all cars or tourists arriving at the Blue Eye are out in the evening. The room is small but clean. The spacious bathroom with a bathtub was great for relaxing after a long day of hiking. The nearby restaurant (the same owners) with a great view serves a very rich and delicious breakfast, enough to take with you on your hike. Giovanni made sure that my stay was perfect. And he did a great job :) Highly recommended!
