The property is really clean, perfectly furnished with all the things you need for your stay. The owners are really kind and welcoming. The location is close to wineries and restaurants but at the same time is in the middle of the nature with the kangaroos. There are no negatives aspects. We will definitely come back.

How amazing is this location, quiet and relaxing and a perfect night for our 40th wedding anniversary. Evelyn and Stewart were so accommodating and made our stay feel like we were staying with family. The breakfast was delicious especially with our glass of sparkling ❤️

Set in the heart of the Hunter Valley wine region, Thistle Hill Guesthouse - walk to many wineries and restaurants offers a peaceful escape from the city. Nestled amongst 20 acres of gardens, it is a 10-minute drive from Hunter Valley Gardens. Even in the winter off season, Thistle Hill offered the perfect location and size to host our party of 5 for a couple of days in Hunter Valley. Due to the short visit and weather we didn’t take advantage of being in walking distance to wineries but there were several along the main road. Hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful in arranging the bedding to fit our needs. They even set up the fire pit for us to enjoy our first night, which the kids loved!
