They also connected me with a tour guide and provided an excellent restaurant recommendation for my stay. You can tell Villa Marie cares deeply about their customers. You can't go wrong booking here for staying in Santo Amaro.

Location is also very good, with all you need at walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helped us with the excursions. They also offer a very affordable transport service. Breakfast was simple but good, including coffee, fruit, cakes, bread, ham and cheese, with the possibility to ask for the traditional “tapioca” to be prepared on the spot.

The pousada is located close to the entrance of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park, so it’s perfect for participating in tours. The quality of the daily breakfast was good. The best part of my stay was the host Carla. She was the sweetest person, took care of everything (organizing tours, ordering food, etc.) for me and spoke English really well.
