I was very honoured to be one of the first guests in this new home on Booking.com. I had a lovely twin room in a beautiful, hand-built house in a traditional style. The place is run by a Mother and Son - Yvette and Jorge - who are excellent hosts and care very much for their guests. They have two little dogs, who are delightfully friendly and playful! The area is very quiet and peaceful at night, so a good night's sleep is possible. I enjoyed a delicious breakfast of omelette from eggs laid by their own hens. The area has several good wine producers, all offering excellent wine and lunch options. Be aware that the property is on a parcella/lot in a large, gated community. Stay in touch via WhatsApp, and the owners will open the gate remotely. The house is about 200 metres down, on the left, almost as far as the road goes.

Unfortunately, it turned too cold and rainy for us to enjoy the pool, but we did enjoy time at the table around the pool, including breakfast! Daniel, his daughter and the entire staff were VERY helpful and accommodating. Daniel himself offered to do a tour around the area for us and also to take us to the airport if the taxi they scheduled for us proved to be a higher cost than anticipated! I think this stay may have been the highlight of our 20 day trip/cruise for my father-in-law! He can't stop talking about how much he enjoyed it and how surprised he was that "all that" was behind the "wall"! While we did not take advantage of the proximity to wineries and the park on this trip, we would certainly consider returning to Daniel's place in the future if we want to do those things!

This place is a hidden gem. Does not feel like a hostel, feels like a home stay. It is basically a home with a large kitchen, a few rooms and an open living space. The house is on a green space with a pool in the back. It is beautiful, quaint and homey. The room was spacious, quiet and nicely set up. Bed is comfy with clean warm sheets, and it's beautifully green looking out the window. The property is set against the street, but it is very quiet and peaceful. Great kitchen space, we would have cooked a five course meal there if we had the time. We felt very comfortable, chatted with the owner, it was super nice and we would stay longer or come again happily.

The room was spotless and I loved the sheets on the bed, super comfortable! It was great to have use of the kitchen and the breakfast was second to none! Incredible staff, very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend Casa Origen and would definitely stay here again!
