THE BEST STAY in OUR ENTIRE TRIP! The HOST should be listed as a sight itself - she has been the highlight of our stay! She is the loveliest and most careing person, I have ever meet. She is the BEST GUIDE and you should definatelly book a tour with her, e.g. chinese wall. She tells everything about the history, current life in china and shares private strories. She is a real story teller! She offers also Airport transfers and tours. Communication is super fast and great. She helped us in the middle of the night at the airport, as she called the airport to find a place where to get the medicine. The rooms are very well equiped, super cozy and full of sweet details. She takes care of so many little details, e.g. she has a drink milk in the morning for my son ready while she offered us a the coffee/tea. It is the prefect location for a transit stop, closed to the airport and great for a tour to the chinese wall. The host, our friend will always be saved in my memories and I am happy to meet her again!

The staff truly made the experience unforgettable—always friendly, attentive, and full of helpful recommendations about the local area, things to do, and the history of the hotel. The hotel itself had a lovely, tranquil vibe. Everywhere you looked, there were beautiful dried flowers and lush plants that created a calming and welcoming atmosphere. It felt like a little oasis after a day of exploring the Great Wall. We stayed in the family suite, which was spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to relax. The highlights of our stay were definitely the unique experiences offered by the hotel—making dumplings with the staff was a fun and memorable activity, and the homemade wines were an absolute treat! This hotel is a hidden gem with amazing staff, a serene atmosphere, and a perfect location for those wanting to experience the Great Wall in a more intimate, local way. Highly recommend!

There is only one word that can describe this place: Paradise. I have travelled many countries, and it was at this small little inn in the middle of nowhere that left an everlasting impression. The innkeeper, Xiao Wei, is the most wonderful innkeeper in all of China. She cooks for you like you would expect growing up in an Asian household. The proximity of the place to your own secret 20km length of the Great Wall is the main selling point. In my 4 days here, I went up the wall 3 times because the wall is just in the backyard of this inn. Pretty insane! I also met lovely people while staying there. Chances are, the people that are willing to come all the way out here to Gubeijou will also be very lovely to other guests. I cannot stress how willing I am to return to this inn for a quick getaway whenever life gets tough.
