I only stayed here for one night, but it left such a deep impression on me. I arrived early, feeling exhausted from travel and a little unwell, and the room was already ready for check in - something I was incredibly grateful for. But what truly made this stay unforgettable was the family hosting the place. Their kindness and care were absolutely extraordinary. They were there for every little question, provided me with everything I needed, and made me feel not just welcomed, but genuinely cared for. It was the kind of warmth and generosity that’s rare to find - I almost felt like I had become a part of their family. Thanks to them, I had a perfect rest and a smooth trip the next morning. I’ve never stayed anywhere quite like this before. The kindness I experienced here was truly something out of this world :)

DaBene - Bed & Breakfast se află în Alajuela și are vedere la munte, o piscină în aer liber, o grădină, un lounge comun și o terasă. I like the garden and it was a good value for the money, close to the airport. I liked the neighborhood.

Arenal Descanso se găsește în Fortuna, la 4,6 km de Cascada La Fortuna, și are vedere la râu, WiFi gratuit și parcare privată gratuită. What a wonderful place! A small hotel (just one bungalow) with high standards. Comfy beds, good air condition, a nice bathroom and even a small kitchen with fridge and microwave. The location is outside the center of La Fortuna but within easy walking distance to restaurants (we loved Tiquicia). Breakfast is served in a beautiful setting and is freshly prepared, including warm food and delicious fresh fruit directly from the hotel owners' farm. Best of all are the lovely owners of the hotel, who showed us around.

Alexander b&b se găsește la 31 km de Parcul Național Poas și oferă unități de cazare cu patio, precum și o grădină. Very nice and helpful hosts, Alexander also gave us a ride to the airport, which is within 10 minutes. Gallo pinto for breakfast was super. We even spotted a few hummingbirds in the backyard.

Best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Full of space and the owners are very kind. Everything was very easy with them, and they even helped us with our laundry. We stayed there to drive to the volcano and Rio Celeste.

First off, the hosts were the loveliest people. they made incredible breakfast and made me feel at home instantly. They also helped me book tours which was wonderful. The facility itself was gorgeous, super comfortable and the bird watching was supreme.

Lajuela BnB & Hostel oferă cazare în Alajuela, la 30 km de Parcul Național Poas și la mai puțin de 1 km de Stadionul Alejandro Morera Soto. Laura is a wonderful host and I really felt like home at her house. She's always there, downstairs, if you need help with anything. It was very interesting to talk to her and learn about life in Costa Rica as these were my first nights after arriving. I was impressed with how well she decorated the house all with her own hands! The breakfast was absolutely delicious and always very fresh - Laura makes that a priority, so you have to tell her when you'll want to have your breakfast and she'll prepare it at the right time just for you. I didn't have any specific plans for the day so she was flexible and agreed to cook it whenever I woke up, I just had to ask 20 minutes in advance. Instead of pre-cooking the breakfast she still made a point of always cooking fresh, which I think is great hospitality. There's not too much to do in Alajuela, but I enjoyed just walking around, the people are very friendly and it's not touristy at all. I really liked the central park and the cathedral in front. There's a bus that goes to San Jose every 15 or 30 minutes (I don't remember, but Laura can always help you with that) where you can visit some nice museums, but I would never choose to stay in San Jose instead of Alajuela. San Jose is one big tourist trap, Alajuela is closer to the airport and a much more authentic place to stay.

The family is wonderful. They were always ready to help and answer any questions. The night tour on the property was fun, the breakfast was delicious and it was overall very relaxing. This was the first property we stayed at on our Costa Rica trip, and we were so grateful that it was. I recommend this place to anyone who's wanting to explore Parque Nacional Volcán Tenorio / Rio Celeste area!
