Lovely staff who booked us a taxi and were very patient and understanding when our late night flight was delayed even further. Delicious traditional Costa Rican breakfast, lovely courtyard, felt very safe and clean, comfy, spacious. I even did 20 mins of yoga in the bathroom in the morning - it was that big! Well located, just a 15 min drive from SJO.

This place is authentic, the family is so beautiful and nice. We love the honest and the calme ambiance! Nothing is too much, everything is simple but juste pure. The night tour was beautiful, so we'll explained, and very interesting. The welcoming totally perfect even if we booked last minute. And the breakfast... Just incredible. Not only because of the food, it was very good and gluten free for me, which can be complicate sometimes, but mostly because of the mother. The is a beautiful soul, full of love and kindness. Thank you for everything!

The house was clean and tidy and made a good impression. A comfortable room with facilities (eg Refrigerator, ice) available in the kitchen area adjacent to the breakfast room. Breakfast was 'tipco' but nice with lovely fresh fruits and good coffee. The courtyard was pleasant to sit out in during the evening and apart from barking dogs (external to the property) was very peaceful.

Great family owned spot. We enjoyed chatting with the son of the owners who is a football (soccer) star goalie. Rooms are basic and comfortable/clean. This isn’t luxury but amazing value. Nice restaurant and tours right accross the street. Make sure you have the omelette at Cartera just 1 mile up the road. The “lounge” area is perfect for a cold beer and a bag of chips or take out fried chicken.
