This bed and breakfast is allergy-free and non-smoking. This is the perfect place to stay if you want to get to know the real Sal and its people. The owners went above and beyond to make me feel not only welcome, but truly at home. The room was super comfy, and the food was always delicious (be sure to try one of Candida's secret recipes for dinner, if you get the chance). I was provided with all the help and advice I needed in order to explore the island, and Candida and Martin personally took me to places that only local people know about. If, like me, you prefer a quiet, remote beach over those crowed, touristy ones: there's a small one just a short bicycle ride away – although I usually opted for a walk through to beautiful steppe landscape to get there. If you prefer spending your days with the other tourists down in the south of the island: Santa Maria beach is only 20 minutes by bus – which may sound complicated at first, but is actually super fun and convenient (and it only costs 1 Euro). I could go on praising this place for two weeks (which is actually the amount of time I stayed), but I'll just stop here – not without saying: Thank you, Candida & Martin, for the wonderful time at kleine schweiz! Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the bed and breakfast free of charge. The accommodation provides airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. Close to everything in a quit street. The people who worked are the kindest!

He was really helpful driving us into town the first night and then into the city next day to buy local Sim card.

Robert is a truly wonderful host! He made us feel welcome right away and offered to show us around Santa Maria. He helped us every day with any question we had. The apartment is really neat and modern, everything you need. Would definitely come again.

The overall house is also nice and in a quiet area of Santa Maria, around 15mins walking from the center. There are a few restaurants and markets also quite close. The owners are very kind and provided us with some useful tips related to Sal! Very appreciated!
