They are obsessive about cleaning, so the place is always perfectly spotless. It's very excellently priced, and they have a nice, large outdoor, ground-level terrace in the front with excellent rain covering even during the hardest storms. I work remotely, so I really look forward to a dedicated working area, which they have! They have a little office area in the back of the hostel with a desk, a nice background, and good lighting (for those of us that need to be on video calls).

Another traveler recommended this place to me, and I’m glad I stayed here. The place was very clean, breakfast was tasty, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Great location for sightseeing. Definitely recommend!

What a Place! 15 dollars for a whole Little bungalow with private bathrooms. Big bed, super comfortable, great pillows! Everything was super clean, towel and shower gel are included. Breakfast Is included and it's delicious with so much fruit too! Dinner was included too and so delicious! I loved everything, the fireplace, the food, the common area with pool and more! You have free bikes to go around the city, 10 Min walking but this Place Is Just perfect in the nature, with and Amazing view and at the beginning of the Quilotoa Loop. Family hostel and they were absolutely Amazing, sweet and lovely! I wished I could stay a whole week there!

If Jane Austen ran a hostel, this would be it. High ceilings? Check. Old-school charm? Absolutely. A vibe that makes you feel like you should be dramatically staring out of a window, contemplating your past mistakes? 100%. The room was spacious, the breakfast was solid, and I half-expected to run into a brooding gentleman in a waistcoat. Would I stay here again? Without a doubt. Would I write a letter with a quill professing my admiration for this hostel? If I knew how, yes. Can’t recommend it enough!

Set 1.2 km from El Ejido Park, Chakana Hotel Boutique Mariscal is a recently renovated 3-star accommodation in Quito, featuring a garden, a bar and private parking. The property has mountain and inner courtyard views, and is 3.2 km from La Carolina Park. The bed and breakfast features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. Yvonne and Santiago were very helpful and accomodating, nothing was too much trouble. We loved the Ecuadorean theme of the hotel, the room was spacious and the beds and pillows comfortable. The chefs was superb, the breakfast was delicious and varied and they put so much attention to detail in the preparation and presentation of every meal, a great way to introduce us to Ecuadorean cuisine. I enjoyed using the spa bath. They were happy to store our bags and provided us with a room safe. We enjoyed the complimentary tea, coffee and fruit. Chakana Mariscal made a great base for exploring Quito.

The accommodation was beautiful. It's near the Cotopaxi National Park and area is very nice. Host Darwin was very kind and he was cooking very well. The restaurant has very good atmosphere with the fireplace. The best bonus was we met with great Ecuadorian people who were also accommodated here :). We really recommend this accommodation if you want to visit Cotopaxi volcan.
