Dormir en Cádiz is located in the historic quarter in Cadiz, within walking distance from the city’s touristic places. It offers a rooftop terrace and a patio with tables and chairs. The location was great- 5 minutes on foot from the city market, 3 minutes from the sea, 5 minutes to the nearest garage!

Set 250 metres from Vejer’s San Salvador Church, El Cobijo de Vejer is a 19th-century Andalusian house with a courtyard. Everything was perfect. Very friendly and helpful staff. This place is a real gem if atmosphere is important to you. Since the place is not accessible with normal cars we left ours at a place in some distance. Then we and our luggage were picked up with a small vehicle and brought to the house.

The Botica de Vejer is a converted 18th-century pharmacy located in Vejer’s old town. It offers free Wi-Fi and a roof terrace with panoramic views of the countryside and sea. The view from my room is spectacular, yes, of course lots of stairs but that is very typical for this town. Also, it’s one of the few places that had a very good breakfast included in the price. The staff in the morning we’re exceptionally friendly and helpful.

We are from California, American (USA) and British (UK) tourists, this is your place, make sure to visit Algodonales to experience the real Spain, not the touristy gross parts. Owners Rita and Paco are the heart of everything that is beatiful and wonderful about Spain as is their their adorable boutique hotel, La Güena Vida. The entire town was welcoming and warm, and patient yet appreciative with our limited spanish. Paco and Rita went out of their way for us. They got us tickets to the local bullfight days ahead of time and even surprised me at departure with a poster from the bullfighting festival. We were in Spain for 3 weeks (Cadiz, Ronda, Nerja, Malaga, Marbella) and this was the highlight of our trip. The absolut best part of it. We cannot wait go to back and stay again, and moreoever to see Paco and Rita, whom I cannot thank enough. We feel like we made new friends and the best memories of our lives.
