We could not have wished for a better stay at the end of our vacation. Alexia and Adrien were wonderfully warm and kind hosts, who make guests feel at home. We loved the very generous and relaxing breakfast each morning around the large dining table, chatting with other guests (there were also a couple of smaller tables available). We also made use of a very comfortable guest lounge, with guides and other books. The chateau, furnishings and design are stunning! Our bedroom (and adjoining bathroom) was one of the best we have stayed in, with a very comfortable bed. We were also encouraged to share the large and beautiful garden, where we had a welcome drink from Alexia. The chateau is very well located for travel to/from Calais, and there is plenty to do in the area. We particularly enjoyed visiting Le Touquet. Excellent suggestions for restaurants from Alexia. The location is right in the town center, a strategic spot in the region, close to the beautiful cliffs and the Somme river delta. The host was exceptionally kind, informative, and always ready to help.

Looks much further on the google maps! We were there between Xmas & New Year, so some restaurants not open, others full booked, so if you search ahead and see somewhere you think you might like to eat, book ahead. Le Crotoy is a lovely town, as said, quite compact. Will return at some point. Other activities that may interest, boat rides around the bay (40 euros p/person, 1 hour), guided walking (4 hour/ 3 hour/ 2 hour). Guides probably in French!
