Martyn and Louise are the most relaxed and warmest of hosts, yet they work so hard to deliver for their guests. They have created a beautiful, luxurious, and unique property that delivers a very personal experience. My partner and I stayed in the Balmain Room. Every detail had been thought of; two pieces of lemon drizzle cake in the room as a welcome was a lovely touch. The room is beauitfully appointed, very spacious with views on the beautiful grounds that surround the house, and it's own separate entrance (only the Balmain room has this I think) The bed is huge and super comfortable, we slept so well. The bathroom is also spacious and luxurious. Breakfast is made to order each morning, in addition to a breakfast buffet that you can help yourself to. Louise bakes all the cakes herself and they are superb. This is a stay I will always remember.

We spent three nights at this amazing guesthouse, and it was a truly delightful experience. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly clean. It really felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was one of the highlights of our stay. Every morning, we could choose from an extensive menu, allowing us to try something different each day. Everything was fresh and absolutely delicious. The host was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. She provided us with many useful tips about the local area, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The shared living room and garden were also great additions, giving us a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Moreover, the location was perfect—centrally located, making it easy to access all the attractions and activities in the area. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay. We will definitely return if we're in the area again! ---

The hosts greeted us warmly and showed us to room and fully explained shower and amenities. The property also has a lovely lounge that can be used in addition to the guest room. The breakfast was delicious - clearly made by a trained chef - the eggs Benedict’s and wild mushroom bruschetta were wonderful. There were also excellent extra luxury touches everywhere, sparkling water in the room, nice tea cakes/treats in the room, homemade Scottish tablet and then homemade chocolate/fudge upon departure. Everything was also new/recently redone so all fresh and bright. This was my absolute favorite B&B not just for this trip, but that we’ve ever stayed at.
