The host is simply fascinating, and so generous! The house itself is to date the best guest house I have ever been. The layout allows for space and privacy. Our room was more like a studio with loads of space 🤩. Use of the kitchen is a top criteria, as well as the washer/dryer Sharon will provide you with all what you need, all the while respectful of your privacy. Had a great conversation about Doctorate and PhD 's projects. Unforgettable experience!

We had an amazing stay. George is an exceptional host who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and valued. The room and location are fantastic, but it's all the extra details that made it so special. George provided us with welcome drinks, gave us excellent tips for eating out, provided treats in the room on arrival, and set up the room with additional treats and other touches while we were out at the pub. We had an excellent night's sleep in quiet comfort. Breakfast in the morning was phenomenal, with incredible variety and attentiveness. Great sleep, great food, great chat. Absolutely nothing was left out. Thanks so much, George, for a truly memorable stay.

Meerkat Manor is a unique property as it is part of a smallholding and guests are surrounded by various animals (sheep, goats, ponies etc) grazing in the garden. The apartment is spacious and self-contained. Although it is B&B rather than self-catering, plates, cups, glasses, utensils are provided. The property is very well maintained and well equipped. The host, Bernie, is very helpful. Breakfast is exceptional and is served in the room piping hot.
