We truly enjoyed our stay! The room was beautiful, with a wonderful view from the window and a comfortable, spacious bed — I was pleasantly surprised. Everything was well thought out: there were shampoos, earplugs, coffee, and tea. We loved the shared kitchen, stocked with cereals, milk, spreads, and toast bread, so you can help yourself and prepare breakfast or enjoy a cup of coffee. There were also board games and cozy background music, which made the atmosphere even nicer. The hosts were exceptionally friendly — they let us check in early, kept our luggage on the last day, took great care of us, chatted with us, and were ready to help with anything we needed. Highly recommended!

Carole was always in contact with us, she replied on everything we asked since we booked the room. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect. She made us an amazing breakfast, we will never forget it and it is so nice to talk with her. Great sense of humor and such a caring person. If you are coming to Edinburgh this is the right place to stay. Edinburgh as a place in my heart and mainly because of this place.

It is very clean and incredibly comfortable. There was a lovely tea/coffee station and decanter of sherry in our room. The absolute best parts were interacting with Ollie the manager who makes you feel like part of the family and the fantastic breakfasts (definitely try the porridge with whisky, honey, and cream). It’s a short walk to the heart of the old town but far enough removed to be quiet and peaceful. I will always try to stay here when back in Edinburgh.

We're absolutely in love with this guesthouse and are definitely planning on coming back for the next trip to Edinburgh. Sinead and Chris were so sweet and helpful and forthcoming, the location was really great (and we've only travelled by bus, which was no problem at all), the view in the sea-facing room is fantastic, we've slept heavenly in those comfy beds, and the breakfast is a MUST. 10/10 recommendation!
