WE were greeted by really friendly staff at the bar, who quickly found details of our reservation and took us to our rooms. We ate in the restaurant, which offered nicely presented food at a decent price. Our steaks were cooked very well and served alongside proper chips. The team here works well together and the staff were all really helpful, pointing out historical details about the region. Our rooms were very comfortable with good facilities (tea and coffee) and were surprisingly quiet (this being a Saturday night). Our breakfasts were very good (eggs Benedict) and served quickly. Plentiful car parking.

I spent a lot of time in my room during my four-night stay, and I couldn’t have been more comfortable. This hotel has the most amazing staff—truly going above and beyond to make your stay special. The restaurant offers a wide variety of delicious options, and the pub has everything your heart could desire. I enjoyed several different lunches and dinners, and the daily specials are absolutely worth trying—especially the smoked haddock mac & cheese, which was a standout! Breakfast is also a treat: generous, tasty, and with lots to choose from. My room was spacious, beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotless. They thoughtfully provide coffee, tea, cocoa, and biscuits—lovely touches. The bathroom was also large and clean, with surprisingly luxurious washcloths and high-quality toiletries. All in all, a wonderful experience. I would absolutely stay here again.

Set in a Grade II listed building, this hotel combines historic charm with modern convenience, still retains its original features, open fires and wonderful antiques. This hotel was very beautiful and fits just perfectly in this Shakespear's hometown. The room was gorgeous with a luxurious bathroom and a very comfortable bed --- you can enjoy your bath with some snacks right before bed. The breakfast provided not only a help-your-self buffet table but also something you can order from the menu (also for free).

The room was lovely, comfortable bed, bathroom in great clean condition, the little additions with the breakfasts were delightful. His breakfast granola trifle felt like a dessert! An absolute treat staying here.

Isaac opened up the apparel shop so we could get some cool gear, they both chatted with us over a pint whilst cleaning up and shutting down for the night. Left early to catch a flight. Marcus greeted us and offered coffees to go. Super kind!
