Boasting a prime location within the castle walls, this century-old restored mansion features a tranquil courtyard and charming accommodation with views over the castle. Great location inside the castle walls and close to hundreds of cafes and eating places. Easy walking distance to town and the lake. Staff were exceptional..always cheerful and willing to help. Changed breakfast when they realised we weren't eating the bread and sweet foods and provided fresh fruit, yoghurt salad and eggs instead. Highly recommend Hotel Kastro.

I chose the place by chance, but I was incredibly pleasantly surprised by the hostess's hospitality. I travel frequently, but I've never encountered such an attitude. It's like being in the country house of a beloved family, with delicious desserts personally prepared by the hostess. It's a delight!

Everything was wonderful - the breakfast, the room and most of all the staff at this family owned inn. The people were some of the kindest, most generous that we’ve met in our travels. One son speaks fluent English but even with limited English the other family members were helpful and welcoming. We were able to keep our room on checkout day since we had a late flight to Athens. Ask for a quiet room if you want to be away from the busy street between Virsa and the lake. The family has a little bar/cafe in front. Enter there for a welcome coffee and lovely people, then enjoy a bright and spacious room with a nice little balcony. There are stairs but family will help with luggage.

Situated in the upper part of Vitsa village with magnificent views of the surrounding landscape, it is an ideal base camp to explore Central Zagorohoria. The house is quiet and serene, yet close to excellen restaurants and bars. The hosts take extra care to make guests feel at home. Sofia's homemade breakfast is always fresh and delicious. Tasos, who works as a local tourist guide, is never short of helpful advice. The house is sparkling clean, with quality bedding. Highly recommended! The only real problem is that at the end of your stay you may find it not easy to leave.

The location is set in a lovely village with incredible views from every direction. It’s walking distance to a few very good restaurants, as well as to Monodendri, where the hike to Vikos Gorge (and other hikes) starts from. It’s very clean and the owner, Petros, is very welcoming and exceptionally accommodating. His daughter Sofia, helps with the management of the guesthouse and is truly amazing, assisting with all my queries. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Thank you for the special memories I take home
