The bed was very comfortable with warm duvet. There was a fan but I didn't need it as the the weather was just nice. I loved the shower's very good water pressure and warm water. Some more there was a warm welcome as soon as I got off the ferry and the helpful staff made me feel welcome throughout my stay right up until I stepped back on the ferry. Loved the breakfast so much! Very tasty, filling and healthy.

The host was so friendly and helpful! He offered to drive us to restaurants/activities on the island for free. You can also rent a car here if you want. The room was very clean and had plenty of space. The property also has lake access. I’m happy I stayed here!

They have a restaurant downstairs, good and affordable food. The best for the price.

We stayed for 2 nights at Ruma Kaca, Tiolina’s beautiful “house of glass” in Simanindo, and it was truly special. The view over Lake Toba, the lush garden full of flowers and plants, and even the small Batak culture museum make this place unforgettable. Tiolina is an exceptional host, incredibly kind and helpful. She arranged a driver to show us around the island and gave great advice for taking the ferry. The food was delicious, and nothing was ever too much to ask. The location is outstanding, and if you get the chance, ask her to sing! Her traditional Batak songs accompanied by her slightly out-of-tune piano only add to the charm of this magical place.

The room was super clean and very comfortable. Dong who runs the place will make sure you have a very memorable stay. The service and hospitality of everyone connected to Toba Boi is exceptional. I had such a fantastic stay here.

Once you open the door of your room, you’re greeted by an impressive view of Lake Toba. It appears to be a new hotel, so the room and furnishings were new and clean. Location was fantastic as well. The hotel is right next to the water, so the ferry from Parapat can drop you off right at the hotel pier and pick you up from the same place. There are great restaurants nearby. I strongly recommend Coffee 2 Go across the street for breakfast and coffee, and Rosalie’s Beer Garden and Restaurant a 5-min walk away for lunch and dinner. Staff is friendly and helpful, though not all of them speak English.

The property is clean and new and run by a lovely local family who arranged scooters for us. There is a water sport centre just on the lake and we had a great time on the jet skis and banana boat. The ferry drops you directly at the property too! The family room was spacious and great value for money.

Got there at 9am and was able to check in early at no additional cost. Location is great as the ferry drops you off very close by. All our needs were met with incredible care and attention including when I got stung by a hornet and she provided some lotion and reassurance. The food was also exceptionally good. Can't recommend this place.

We stayed for a total of 9 nights in Romlan; in two different rooms. Where to start with the things we liked? First of all, the staff of Romlan is very friendly and helpful. They even helped us with calling and getting to the local pharmacy to get some medicines for sickness (one of us got ill and they called the pharmacy that was closed due to the Sunday Service and they opened up the pharmacy for us). The food and drinks of their own restaurant were amazing and very tasty & variable; good price value as well! The location of Romlan is also good: the boat drops you off at their pier and all the things in Tuk Tuk are on walking distance. The views from the rooms and restaurant are amazing. If you want to hire a scooter bike you can without signing for anything and you don't have to fuel up the tank (when you get the bike, the tank is full). A free refill water station is available and also some tips & tricks about the surroundings of Romlan and the transport options from Lake Toba to other places like Berastagi or Medan. Definitely recommended to book your stay at Romlan when you are looking for a place to stay in Tuk Tuk.

The room its super nice with wood floor, clean and big. Hot shower, comfy bed. The Restaurant/Coffee/Bar upstairs its fantastic, its nice decorated and done. You have a spectacular view to the Lake. Its peacefull, very good food and Drinks and super nice and lovely Owners. We would definitly come back here!
