Idyllic...what a pleasure. I stayed in the Sunrise cabin overlooking the sea, and the whole time I had to pinch myself. It exceeded my expectations. The reef was dreamy. The staff. The rest of the guests. Silence and peace...you couldn't ask for more. Oh yes...the dive center was very professional. I know I'll be back.

Fellow travelers, this is an absolute bargain, trust me! Pedro is as nice as a host can be, always paying attention to the details so that we had the best experience we could. The accommodation, although not in the centre of Waisai, is not far and the porch has outstanding views of the bay. Moreover, the bed is comfortable and big, the bathroom is well equipped and the AC brings a luxurious touch compared to some of the other guest houses. In terms of the food, they serve both breakfast and dinner included in the price and they're both varied and delicious. If you want to have a beer watching the sunset, you can also buy them directly from Pedro. Finally, he rents motorbikes and happens to know all the necessary people to make the experience of Waisai truly complete. To sum up, this place exceeded our expectations and we feel that it will be much busier once more reviews will pop up, as he only opened it in August 2025.

Rio and his Team are taking really good care that everyone has a lovely stay and help where they can to arrange transportation or daytrips or diving. The bungalows are very clean, spacious and well equipped. We even had our own bathroom which is definitely a luxury on the island! Overall a great place to relax and enjoy the island life. The Food was also very good and there was also lots of variety, even though I am vegetarian :) Definitely one of the best places to stay in raja ampat!

I went diving for three days on the Pulau Gam and snorkeled daily on Friwen. They are about a 10 mins boat ride. The Homestay is rustic. There are two beds covered with mosquito net. They are totally fine but somehow one would get in every night. It’s an island at the equator, there are mosquitoes. Also geckos! That’s part of the adventure. The room has an interior slide lock and there’s a clipping lock with a key for locking when you’re away. Honestly I never locked my place. The island seems very safe. Kids playing, most of the folks on the island are involved in tourism, though they don’t speak much English. It wasn’t an issue. I traveled solo and spent most afternoons in the hammock, reading, writing or napping. The food was amazing, delicious, the cook is very sweet and calls you to breakfast, lunch and dinner. The fresh fish is caught daily. Vegetables and rice, very delicious and all included. Large quantities. Box lunches are available if you are diving all day. Bananas are snacks. Unlimited instant coffee, tea, hot water. The island is stunning. Sunsets amazing. The reef has more life to see while snorkeling than most places (Europe, Caribbean, US, Latin America) have to see while scuba diving! I saw turtles, squid, dolphins playing, reef sharks and millions of coral. A not about cash and other fees: you will need ~140,000 to take a ferry from Sorong to Waisai. Then you’ll need 600,000 to ride each way from Waisai to Friwen (this can be divided with others, provided there are other riders.). On Waisai, you’ll have to buy a Marine Park pass and an entry pass, in total 1,000,000. So you’ll need around 2,250,000 in cash (be prepared bc the pass can be purchased online, or card but sometimes their system is down and you have to pay cash). In Sorong airport there are four ATMs, most of them don’t work well. There are ATMs on Waisai but you have to ride a motorcycle to them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

The guesthouse is quaint, located in a quiet area of town. The room was exactly what we needed after a long journey to Raja Ampat. Our hostess was very gracious and helpful. We will be going to stay there again.

Not only did the accommodation exceed our expectations, our host also went above and beyond to ensure our stay in the area everything we wanted it to be. I can honestly say our time there wouldn’t have been half as good if it wasn’t for Husna, she knew all the right people across the region. I can’t recommend this place highly enough, so much so I wouldn’t bother searching for any other accommodation when I eventually return.

Uau, thank you Aron for having us in your piece of paradise. Amazing place, super comfortable bungalows on top of the water with a hammock. You can see baby black tip sharks from your bungalow passing by. They have a great spot for the sunset!! Food is ok and enough for everyone. We would like to thank Raya for the amazing experience with the mantas, he wanted to make sure we had the best experience and he was super nice!! Thank you Aron and Monde for the kindness and the music, it was such a cool bonus to hear you guys singing!! We will never forget the days we spend here!

The resort is beautiful, the water had different blue and green colors everyday, beautiful sunrise and sunsets. T The food that had taste of love, really we travel a lot and never saw a home made food SO great. The crew took us to the best dive spots we have ever been with security and the diver was super dedicated to give us good experience. Ramdhan helped us with everything we needed and more. We never wanted to live. Finally we will miss our cat friends Puri, Puti and the others. Good location, private bathroom, excelent bed, great food, nothing to worry but enjoy. Amazing snorkeling roght in front of the resort full of fish and colorfuk corals.

The staff here really makes a difference! There are a couple of Catalan ladies (volunteer staff) who have been very responsive to every request I have made. The location is close to a very good reef for snorkeling. Comfortable over-the-water huts. Large bed with comfortable mattress and high mosquito net. Love the oversized knit hammock! Easy pick up for divers with Soul or Turtle or Yenbuba dive centers.
