We were in Roundstone on August 23 and 24. It is a comfortable, relaxing, and wonderfully understated inn. There is a lovely sitting room that looks out to a garden. It is a very peaceful space. The inn's location can't be beat. It is in the center of town but is quiet. The inn keepers are pleasant and helpful. All of us enjoyed the breakfast. The choice of breads was impressive. The view of the harbor and the mountains out across the sea is captivating.

Once acclimated the location proved excellent.. A comfortable drive to Kylemore Abbey and Ashford Castle. A nice and affordable golf course nearby and and a beautiful lake for boating and fishing just down the street. Also a boxing club and football club in town. The town of Oughterard had a few nice Pub's and a grocery that was well stocked. Our host Christian was great and his new puppy Emily couldn't be more adorable

She packed sandwiches with her homemade chutney for our road travel. She and John, both, are very welcoming - we spoke alot about our diverse culture. The room and bathroom were extremely clean and neat. We had a very good night sleep :) Thanks you Barbara and John for hosting us!
