The setting was very nice, with close to all the attractions of the Mullingar area but in the countryside. The host's husband, who was filling in while she attended to family matters, was very friendly and even gave us a tour of his hurling stick manufacturing and shop. It's a gated yard, so it felt very secure, and the breakfast area had everything you needed for a little snack or a good start to the day!

One of the loveliest locations we've stayed at, with a beautifully kept house, vibrant gardens, and friendly hosts. We were even introduced to the farm animals, which made the trip for us! Templemacateer is a little slice of paradise.
