This is by far one of my favorite stays in India. The room was clean and didn't smell stuffy, it was simple but nice, and overall a super comfortable stay. Tej Prakash was super kind and helpful, he gave us lots of helpful recommendations and checked in on us regularly to make sure we were having a great stay.

O Se Alibaba, sua esposa Shiba e dua filha Areeba não só me hospedaram mas tomaram conta de uma maneira muito carinhosa e atenciosa. A casa é muito agradável com jardim, muito verde, arejada, limpa e silenciosa num bairro com várias facilidades e a 7 minutos de tuktuk do Taj Mahal (portão Oeste o mais vazio) e dá até pra ir andando ao Taj Mahal. O quarto e banheiro eram bem grandes, lençois e toalhas super limpos, ótima cama, banho quente, ducha forte, ar condicionado e ventilador de teto, facilidades pra chá. Eles também servem café da manhã com opções locais e brasileiras como ovos, pão de forma, frutas e suco. Se Alibaba também fez troca de dinheiro pra mim e agendou tuktuk com o Sr Papu (excelente pessoa) para me levar e buscar no Taj Mahal e me deixar no pontk de ônibus e me ajudou com tudo, realmente me dentinhma filha. Foi muito especial a experiência. Venham todos e façam ao menos uma refeição no lindo terraço!

Vishnu is one of the most genuine, caring, kind,inspiring, knowledgeable, helpful and compassionate humans we have ever met in India! Our room was perfect, we slept like babies, the water hot and pressure was awesome! Location is prime, right off the Ghats but still quiet enough to get all the rest you need! Vishnu is known for his delicious chai and heartfelt conversation! He knows everything and everyone in Varanasi and can help you plan and execute your adventures with a quickness.. He truly cares about his guests and genuinely wants the best for you! If you want to go on a real adventure ask him about his street food tour, so awesome!! Over all we loved our stay and will always choose Maa Durga and Vishna when we visit Varanasi!!! Thank you for everything!!!

My experience at Banaras Rest House was nothing short of perfect! From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel like family — warm smiles, genuine hospitality, and always ready to help with anything I needed. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Varanasi, just a short walk from the ghats and the Ganga. I loved waking up early and taking a peaceful stroll by the river. The rest house itself is clean, beautifully maintained, and full of charm. My room was comfortable, well-ventilated, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. What really stood out was the calm and homely atmosphere — a perfect escape from the busy streets outside. The rooftop view of the Ganges during sunrise was absolutely breathtaking, and the staff even helped arrange a boat ride that became one of the highlights of my trip. If you’re looking for an affordable yet truly authentic stay in Varanasi, Banaras Rest House is the place to be. From the efficient check-in/check-out process, each moment was delightful. The secure and safe environment of this hotel will always have my heart. The rooms were clean and very comfortable, with elegant decor. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I liked the atmosphere here. We felt relaxed and welcomed from the moment we arrived. The staff took really good care of everything. It was a refreshing escape. I have recommended that others visit The Nest once, and I can assure you that they will never regret it.
