First of all wow the cottages were super cozy with floor warming. (I love that). Everything was nice and clean and the beds were comfy. There's not much else I can say about it no negative things. And then the main building wow. We were greeted by super enthusiastic staff and they were so friendly. They asked us about our vacation and our plans. And they even gave some good recommendations. Also when my friend her snow boots got torn up in the front and in the back they had DUCKTAPE :D. So she could fix it. Ducktape fixes anything. And you could pet the cows :D. Also a good recommender is the breakfast boi was it Tasty and most of the products were produced locally

Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. If I could give more than 10, I would happily do it. It was a fantastic apartment. I was a bit hesitant about shared kitchen initially. But it was absolutely fine. It was huge and exceptionally clean, had loads of utensils and cooking equipment. A full size dishwasher. So they have set up the kitchen in a way that multiple people can cook same time. They also come every morning to clean and reset the kitchen. They also give free supplies like breads, tomato, butter, oils etc. Washing machine came in very handy as this was day 7 of our Iceland trip when we stayed in Birkilauf. Rooms are very nice, neat and clean. Bathroom also looks newly done up Location is very close to all main areas like Hverir geothermal, Hverfjall Volcano and Dimmuborgir and lake Myvatn. Overall everything was great. Highly recommend.

Eldá Guesthouse is located in Reykjahlíð, just a few minutes on foot from Lake Myvatn. There is a golf course 750 metres from the property. Each room includes a work desk, a wash basin and free WiFi. The staff is very helpful since we came later than 8:00 pm but we got all information/help we need. The room is clean and quiet. The location is good that is close to the lake Myvatn and also the camp-site where my friend stayed. Good value.

Check-in was easy - keys and extra information were waiting for us at reception when we arrived. We were upgraded to a cottage which has everything needed for a great stay. Views from the cottage were beautiful, the location is just across the road from the lava fields. Hosts helped us book tickets for a discount. Great experience overall!

Quietly located 5 km from Iceland's Ring Road and 13 km from Lake Mývatn, this family-run guest house offers views over Sandfell Mountain. Very cozy and beautiful location. Perfect place to wind down and enjoy nature. Comfortable facilities. Breakfast was great, we loved the waffle machine.

Offering rooms and cottages, Hlid Hostel is 500 metres from Lake Mývatn, in Reykjahlíd. WiFi and parking are free. Facilities include a BBQ area, terrace and shared kitchen. Super big kitchen. Eating area with a view. Nice reception people let me check in early. Only me in the room. Heater was on when I got there and the whole place was very warm. Heated floor in the shower was amazing-- very deluxe.
