The folks running the place clearly care about their guests and are very caring and kind. They provide tons of information about Hakata Island, and have curated a restaurant and map of where you can go for food since there isn’t too much on the island. We felt so cared for and looked after when we arrived after cycling for 4 hours in the pouring rain. Thank you so much for your kindness and we would happily return just to say hi and have more jams!

This lovely traditional Japanese house was a wonderful place to stay on our bike trip. While neither party could speak the other's language very well, we were able to communicate fine. The luxury touches in the beautiful and spacious rooms made everything feel welcoming. If you like fish, make sure to order the kaiseki meal that the hosts will prepare for you. It is worth every penny. They also offer a simple but elegant breakfast included in the stay. We started calling this the "it's all downhill from here house" because we knew we wouldn't be staying in anything as grand for the rest of our trip.

The host was a very warm and kind individual. Would love to come back just to talk to him more. He was super helpful and me figuring out where to go once I found out the Dogo Onsen was under construction and fully booked. Which to be honest, was confusing as I think the Dogo Onsen website specifically mentions there are no reservations. Location was perfect, literally around the corner from Dogo Onsen, a few other onsens and the shopping area with good souvenir/clothes shops and good restaurants.

The lady helped me to find an hostel for my next destination. The lady room has only 4 beds and it is spacious. Very clean and they offer a discount for a 5 min distance onsen that is great

It was so good we stayed twice! Remi and Toyo really looked after us so well we had a really lovely time. The traditional house is so beautiful and the futons comfy and warm. Overall a great stay!
