Nao was quiet but so helpful to me to resolve my back problem by getting a futon for me. The other staff were very friendly and helpful as well. It's great to have youthful staff. One of the best kitchen I've encountered so far. Only suggestion is to use thicker mattresses. Great hostel!

It is located within Fuji-Hakone National Park, and a 2-minute walk from the nearest Senkyoro Mae bus stop. Staying at the Fuji-Hakone Guest House felt like coming home. We found that the people who run this hotel are truly some of the kindest and most interesting people we have ever met. Will always feel blessed to meet Ted San, Lisa San, their parents, and Laito (their angelic dog). The space itself was absolutely stunning. The onsen renewed us and we slept extremely well. Talking to other guests at breakfast was another highlight. I have never felt so welcome on my travels anywhere. I would love to visit Fuji Hakone Guest House again just to experience the warmth and joy that I felt there. So much love to the wonderful family who runs it!
