Homely rooms with mountain views, free Wi-Fi and a private bath await guests at Villa Revage, 350 metres from Nikko Botanical Garden. I love the vibe of this place. It’s very friendly. The owner clearly likes people and he is very helpful. Everything is well planned and explained. You can get hot and cold water, or buy some food from the freezer and cook it using available microwaves. There is selection of cold drinks you can buy as well. You can get a yukata and some travel items for free (ear plugs, razors etc). Room was clean and comfortable. Very nice coffee and fresh bread in the morning. I used private bath and it was a very nice experience. If you are traveling with child you will feel comfortable here as well. I would highly recommend this place to other travelers.

The staff were incredibly kind and warmly welcomed us from the moment we arrived, creating a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. Everything was fresh and well-maintained, and the attentive service truly stood out. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness and excellent service!

I only stayed for one night to be close to Nokogiri Mt. for hiking, but Ken-ken was extremely helpful and generous while I was there. One of my favorite memories from my two week trip to Japan will be my stay in this little town of Hota, much thanks to Ken-ken's hospitality and guidance for places to visit and eat at while I stayed. He recommended the cutest izakaya when I told him I was looking for dinner and a few beers called Rest Inn Wassup! The owner and cook there were so nice, and we had a good time visiting even though we were mostly speaking through Google Translate. Please don't be afraid to visit this little town if you want to see some authentic Japanese small-town life and great hiking. I was able to get around fairly easily, but be aware the public transportation is limited and it can get dark in the neighborhood at night. Rest assured, though, if you stay with Ken-ken, he will make your stay comfortable and worthwhile!

Super welcoming, speaks great English (which helped us a lot, since my Japanese is...barely functional), has a great sense of humor and is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - so ask him for recommendations on anything! The place has everything you need, and more - even a mini-onsen that Hiro-san will prepare if you ask for it! If you end up sharing the place with another group your experience could vary, but for us (5 people) everything worked out perfectly. Thank you again to Hiro-san!

The place was super clean and well maintained. The beds were comfortable. Overall was a very nice place. Even some snacks are offer for free which was a nice touch :)

The train station and convenience stores are somewhat near our accommodation. Kazuki-san is very responsive to messages and gave us a guidebook on places he recommended. He also gave us toiletries and other essentials we needed for our stay. The Tokyo Skytree and Skytree Town are also close, and they are great tourist attractions.
