It is a bit of a walk on foot but easily accessible by taxi and the way to nearby Koyasan is very convenient by train. The owner is amazing as are the views and the guesthouse itself. I highly recommend it.

Be sure to include breakfast - while a continental breakfast is available the traditional Japanese (our choice) was tasty and filling.

Nippon Christ Kyodan Shijonawate Church is 32 km from the guest house and Shijonawate City Museum of History and Folklore is 32 km away. This was the most calming, beautiful and clean guesthouse! We only stayed one night and when we got to the house we were so sad we didn’t book longer!!! The host is so kind and clean! Our room was amazing, clean, the toilet and bathroom are modern - it’s a traditional but modern and warm house - and I loved the common area/living room. Everything we needed was provided, from tea to towels. It’s a great location for exploring the lower, less touristy parts of Japan, but simply beautiful!!!! shares Nara. I had a great time there, The owner is a star host, I had nice conversations with her, She also introduced me to other guests which was perfect as I wanted to meet more japanese people, we had some drinks at night with the rest of the guests and the location was pretty near to the main attractions

This recently renovated guest house is located 11 km from Iwafune Shrine and 13 km from Nara Station. The accommodation offers a shared kitchen and a shared lounge for guests. We stayed for two nights at Natomi - what a wonderful relaxing stay after 10 days of travelling in the big cities ! We stayed in the Tatami room and it was so spacious and the futon were very comfortable. The walls are are traditional walls / doors so sound does travel however it didn’t bother us in the slightest. The shared bathrooms were well appointed and very clean! The space was so relaxing and peaceful - the staff were so very helpful and accomodating ! They helped us to find our way to a golf course when there were no taxis available. We had breakfast each day which was great value for money and dinner one evening which was delicious! The location was great for us (close to golf course) and in a small village which was very peaceful, but it was a little out of the way. We had such a lovely stay and would consider returning if / when we are back in Japan !
