The hosts were so friendly and we loved the coworking space next door to the guesthouse. We were able to catch up with a little work as well as get a great night's sleep. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful and there were many shops nearby. Tomaruku was an excellent choice and we would love to return one day in the near future.

Propert location was excellent, Hakata beach was just opposite the lodging. The owner was also extremely helpful with the barbecue and the welcome drinks were very good!

Cosmos Guesthouse Iya Valley ligger i Oboke Iya Onsen-kyo-distriktet i Akano, 48 km fra Kotohira-gū og 49 km fra Tsurugi-san Chairlift. I liked everything about this accommodation. It was very clean, had all the amenities, and the bed was very comfortable. It’s a beautiful traditional guesthouse surrounding by nature, small gorge and tea plantation. I don’t know why people were complaining about the distance between the station and the guesthouse, the walk in between the station and the guesthouse is beautiful and refreshing. It’s just a beautiful valley with beautiful scenic views from every side. The owner also offered a pick up and drop off service. His family also picked me and other travelers for the local Yokai festival and I had an amazing time at the festival. I highly recommend this guesthouse. Due to time constraints, I couldn’t do the kayaking activity with the owner but next time I come back, I will definitely do. Thank you.

Japanese style house with super friendly hosts and very comfortable futons to sleep on. Pretty much the perfect setup to achieve Japanese Zen.

This place was perfect! It looks like it’s too far down or not a middle point but it actually works really well if you’re going all the way to Imabari. We cycled from Onomichi to our stay and made it in right around 6pm. We took the bikes for food nearby, our host, Ai, recommended some nice places! The room was absolutely amazing: it was spacious, very pretty, and clean! The restroom was outside the rooms, also very spacious and clean. The next day, Ai helped us with our itinerary. We were tired from the day before so we wanted to take some ferries. She wrote down all the information for us and gave us very good pointers and highly suggested the best viewpoint in the island that was totally worth it. We made it to our next destination safely and on time thanks to our host. We’d definitely go back and stay for more time. This town has a lot to see and the accommodation was just amazing!

Very comfy and cosy stay! Host dinner and breakfast was superb! Huge portion and wide variety. Very homey dishes. Host was very friendly and kept checking everything is good.
